Last month the bank participated in The Nautilus Project ’ s Blue Week where we encouraged employees to reduce their single use of plastic . We also showed our support for World Ocean Day by coming to work wearing blue . Each employee gave to the cause and a sum of £ 352 was donated to The Nautilus Project .
This month Louis Stagnetto from Nautilus came into the bank and gave an informative presentation on Oceanic Climate Change . The presentation focused on the effects of climate change and scientific statistics on the evolving atmosphere surrounding us and its negative impact , particularly on our shores . In supporting Nautilus , the bank can develop knowledge in such areas so to aid us in creating an impactful ESG strategy .
Alongside our support for The Nautilus Project , the bank has also been attending different conferences to help us further understand the climate challenge . One such event was Aspire - a conference on Sustainability in the Bulit Environment . Here we learnt about the importance of the construction sector in creating CO 2 emissions and the work being done to reduce this .
Behind the scenes the bank has also been busy introducing ESG themes such as calculating our carbon footprint , rolling out training on vulnerability , and implementing our annual customer satisfaction survey to understand our clients ’ views . This is just the start of aligning our current efforts within the bank and matching them up within the ESG categories .
With climate change at the global forefront , and in a bid to create a greener Gibraltar , we at TNB aim to advance staff unity in all matters surrounding ESG by team building , training , and sharing information especially when connecting to the wider community ! El mes pasado , el banco participó en la Semana Azul del Proyecto Nautilus , en la que animamos a los empleados a reducir el uso de plástico . También mostramos nuestro apoyo al Día Mundial de los Océanos yendo a trabajar vestidos de azul . Cada empleado contribuyó a la causa y se donaron 352 libras al Proyecto Nautilus .
Este mes , Louis Stagnetto , de Nautilus , vino al banco e hizo una presentación informativa sobre el cambio climático oceánico . La presentación se centró en los efectos del cambio climático y las estadísticas científicas sobre la evolución de la atmósfera que nos rodea y su impacto negativo , especialmente en nuestras costas . Al apoyar a Nautilus , el banco puede desarrollar sus conocimientos en estas áreas para ayudarnos a crear una estrategia ESG impactante .
Además de nuestro apoyo al Proyecto Nautilus , el banco también ha asistido a diferentes conferencias para ayudarnos a comprender mejor el reto climático . Uno de los eventos fue Aspire , donde aprendimos sobre la importancia del sector de la construcción en la creación de emisiones de CO 2 y el trabajo que se está haciendo para reducirlas .
Entre bastidores , el banco también se ha ocupado de introducir temas de ESG , como el cálculo de nuestra huella de carbono , el despliegue de formación sobre vulnerabilidad y la realización de nuestra encuesta anual de satisfacción del cliente para conocer su opinión . Esto no es más que el principio de la armonización de nuestros esfuerzos actuales dentro del banco y su correspondencia con las categorías ESG .
Con el cambio climático en la vanguardia mundial , y en un intento de crear un Gibraltar más ecológico , en TNB nos proponemos fomentar la unidad del personal en todas las cuestiones relacionadas con los ASG mediante la creación de equipos , la formación y el intercambio de información , especialmente cuando nos conectamos con la comunidad en general . Estamos impacientes por compartir próximas noticias , eventos e ideas interesantes , así que ¡ esté atento a este espacio !
