In August 2020, just as everything began to open up again and around the first anniversary of our first edition, OTWO was honoured to receive its first local award recognising the work we had done over the previous twelve months. OTWO received the accolade of 2020 Sustainability Influencer at the Nautilus Project Sustainable Business Awards.
Then in October 2020, OTWO was shortlisted as a finalist in the Engagement for Sustainability( Business) category for the Gibraltar Sustainability Awards held by the Commissioner for Sustainable Development and Future Generations.
2021 was a big year for OTWO, with our list of contributors and collaborators continuing to grow. We were extremely fortunate to land an interview with the remarkable Benigno Varillas in April. As an award-winning journalist, writer and naturalist, Benigno has been an influential advocate for change and a champion of conservation in Spain since the 1970s. From there, April turned out to be a busy month. OTWO signed a collaboration agreement with COAMBA( Colegio de Ambientologos de Andalucía). Since then, COAMBA has showcased its many environmental projects and initiatives through OTWO.
On Good Friday 2021, OTWO held its first Safe Cycling event in Gibraltar. As part of our‘ Keep Calm and Support Safe Cycling’ campaign, local cyclists got together to cycle around Gibraltar to call for safer cycling conditions and improved green transport infrastructure on the Rock.
In June, we once again were humbled and honoured to win our second Nautilus Project Sustainable Business Award. Following the Influencer Award in 2020, OTWO picked up the Green Beacon Award for our work over the previous twelve months.
Our second safe cycling event also took place in June. Held on World Bicycle Day, it was bigger and better than the first, with local businesses, organisations and families participating in a group cycle finishing at Sandy Bay. Government Ministers also supported the event by joining the cyclists at Casemates.

OTWO ha seguido promocionando los magníficos parajes naturales y patrimoniales que nos rodean, tal y como siempre habíamos pretendido. El Grupo de Seguridad Ambiental, Verdemar Ecologistas en Acción, El Proyecto Nautilus, el Parque de Vida Silvestre de La Alameda y muchas más organizaciones fantásticas fueron protagonistas o contribuyeron a lo largo del año.
En agosto de 2020, justo cuando todo empezaba a abrirse de nuevo y en torno al primer aniversario de nuestra primera edición, OTWO tuvo el honor de recibir su primer premio « Influenciador de la Sostenibilidad 2020 » en reconocimiento a la labor que habíamos realizado durante los doce meses anteriores. OTWO recibió el galardón en los Premios a la Empresa Sostenible del Proyecto Nautilus.
Luego, en octubre de 2020, OTWO fue preseleccionada como finalista en la categoría de Compromiso con la Sostenibilidad( Empresas) en los Premios a la Sostenibilidad de Gibraltar celebrados por el Comisionado para el Desarrollo Sostenible y las Generaciones Futuras.
2021 fue un gran año para OTWO, ya que nuestra lista de contribuyentes y colaboradores siguió creciendo. Tuvimos la gran suerte de conseguir una entrevista con el extraordinario Benigno Varillas en abril. Periodista, escritor y naturalista galardonado, Benigno ha sido un influyente defensor del cambio y un paladín de la conservación en España desde la década de 1970. A partir de ahí, abril resultó ser un mes intenso. OTWO firmó un acuerdo de colaboración con COAMBA( Colegio de Ambientólogos de Andalucía). Desde entonces, COAMBA selecciona entre sus afiliados reportajes mensuales tan sorprendentes como divulgativos.
El Viernes Santo de 2021, OTWO celebró su primer evento de ciclismo seguro en Gibraltar. Como parte de nuestra campaña « Keep Calm and Support Safe Cycling »( Mantén la calma y apoya el ciclismo seguro), los ciclistas locales se reunieron para pedalear por Gibraltar y pedir condiciones más seguras para el ciclismo y una mejor infraestructura de transporte verde en el Peñón.
