Dunes, pine forests, cliffs and marshes make
up the diverse ecosystem found in this spectacular
environment. Due to its proximity to the Straits of
Gibraltar, the marsh of the river Barbate is an ideal
resting point between Europe and Africa for migra-
tory birds, and therefore, an outstanding place for
bird watching.
Dunas, pinares, acantilados y marismas son los
ecosistemas que podemos encontrar en este entorno
espectacular. La marisma del río Barbate debido a
su proximidad al Estrecho de Gibraltar hace de ella
un punto ideal de descanso intermedio en las rutas
migratorias de aves entre Europa y África, y por ende,
de un lugar muy atractivo para la observación de aves.
