A CHRISTMAS CYCLE SOCIAL
On Sunday 19th December OTWO along with Shine Easy and The Gibraltar Cycling Association arranged a social cycle – Christmas Special . People of all ages joined in this family event to help promote cycling in Gibraltar . Our main aim is to help those interested in cycling but are uneasy with so much traffic around . There is always better safety in numbers until we have the proper cycling infrastructure in place .
The route was an easy one for all to enjoy . We started off in casemates square where we all met up to have a coffee before heading off to the cycle . At 10:30 we set off from Line Wall Road , straight through to Trafalgar and down through to
Queensway where we all met up at the Small Boats Marina for our regular photo spot . After that it was through to Europort , Watergardens and back to the Leisure Centre to enjoy some churros and coffee . No major hills en-route to make it nice and easy for all to enjoy .
There was a good turnout with many families and friends joining us . Our focus is always for all to enjoy a good cycle whilst feeling safe within our group . I would like to thank all those who joined us on the ride and look forward to many more of these events in 2022 . A must mention is our transport minister Paul Balban . He always attends our events , his support is amazing and we are very grateful for his dedication to this sector which will no doubt gather more and more impetus as time goes by .
