Membership for 2023 / 24 came into effect on Sunday 1 October . RCOT isn ’ t increasing the fees this year . Hopefully , this supports you as the UK faces this financially difficult time and helps keep your budgeting simple .

Inspirational occupational therapist in finals of 2023 People ’ s Choice Award
The Scottish Health Awards 2023 People ’ s Choice Award – which marks the 75th anniversary of the NHS this year – aims to celebrate truly incredible people whose contribution and dedication deserves recognition , and Janice McClymont , Occupational Therapy Head of Profession at NHS Lanarkshire , is one of the finalists .
She is responsible for the development of the children and adults service in Lanarkshire , managing a 260-strong team of allied health providers , including occupational therapists , physiotherapists , speech therapists , nurses and psychology staff .
Professor Soumen Sengupta , Chief Officer of South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership told OTnews : ‘ Janice ’ s life ’ s work has changed the lives of countless colleagues and recipients of care for the better .
‘ It ’ s also strengthened the fabric of health and social care delivery as Janice is also a connector – her deeply collaborative style challenges any ‘ siloed ’ working . She makes constant introductions between all those she knows to improve the quality and breadth of any undertaking .
‘ Janice ’ s leadership exemplifies her commitment to innovation and transformation grounded in collaborative and compassionate care .’
Janice oversees a wide range of occupational therapy care groups : acute care ; primary care ; community rehabilitation ; mental health and addictions ; children and young people ; and specialist rehabilitation services for neurology , brain Injury , rheumatology and hand injury .
Shonaid McCabe , Occupational Therapy Care Group Lead – Primary Care , explained Janice creates a supportive culture for all those she works with .
Janice ’ s leadership exemplifies her commitment to innovation and transformation grounded in collaborative and compassionate care .
‘ From all that Janice has achieved it is her compassion , superhuman ability to always make space for people , honesty , empathy that stand out ,’ added Shonaid . ‘ Put simply , Janice McClymont is an inspiration .’
Janice , who has nearly 40 years ’ experience , says of being one of this year ’ s finalists : ‘ I work with an amazing team . We treat the whole person as we know that illness and disability affect everyone in a different way .’
