We cover the financial , legal and sales advice you need to be an independent OT , including bookkeeping , tax , VAT , getting paid , insurance , liability , finding customers what work is there for OTs , how to calculate your rate . Walking Aids Training for OTs 16 January 2025 Remote course This course designed to help OTs with the prescription and issue of walking aids . Trusted assessor training : Simple aids of daily living , level two or three

This OCN accredited course provides competence and confidence to enable staff to assess for , prescribe and install ( simple aids of daily living ) equipment . As well as ‘ in person ’ training at our venue or yours , we also offer one day ‘ live training ’ via Teams with one of our consultant OT trainers . Providing Trusted Assessor Training ( TAT ) since 2012 . The training incorporates Power point presentations , videos and break out exercises . Delegates will receive a personal portfolio of their work and certification . Level 3 will need you to submit a case study . Trusted Technician training is also available , enquire for details .

Introduction to the role and function of the occupational therapy expert witness

Occupational therapists play a fundamental role in clinical negligence and personal injury litigation cases by providing expert opinion to assist the courts in reaching decisions .
This online course , run by experienced Somek OT expert witnesses , will provide information on the OT expert witness role ( from preparing reports to giving evidence in court ), the legal framework , rules and principles that govern practice .
