Multidisciplinary team management of Atypical Parkinson ’ s NCORE Lecturer : Sessions led by Derby Parkinson ’ s team . Learning outcomes : Gain an increased knowledge and understanding of atypical Parkinson ’ s conditions ; Understand the overall management of these conditions ; Understand and know how to implement therapy interventions ; Have an understanding of how such conditions can impact an individual : Multiple System Atrophy ( MSA ), Progressive Supranuclear Palsy ( PSP ), Corticobasal Degeneration ( CBD ) and Lewy Body Dementia ( LBD ). MSA is a progressive neurological disorder , affecting mobility , balance and autonomic function . PSP is a progressive neurological disorder , impairment of movement , vision , speech and swallowing . CBD is a progressive , neurological disorder with impairments in cognition and executive function with upper limb dysfunction and other Parkinson ’ s features . Lewy Body Dementia is a progressive condition , causing impairments in , spatial awareness and executive function alongside motor features of Parkinson ’ s . CPD : 7 hours . Cost : £ 150 .
