Trusted assessor training : Simple aids of daily living , level two or level three DOTS Disability This OCN London accredited course provides competence and confidence to enable staff to assess for , prescribe and install ( simple aids of daily living ) equipment . As well as ‘ in-person ’ training at our venue or yours , we now also offer a one-day live training course via Zoom with our consultant OT trainer . The training incorporates PPT , videos , and break-out room exercises . Delegates will be able to attend training from their own homes . We can train six delegates in one day . Venue : Nationwide . Placement café We ’ re bringing together people who support placements for pre-registration learners , to network and discuss ways of developing quality , sustainable opportunities . The placement café aims to provide a space for practice educators and those who support OT placements to meet peers , share your good practice , problem-solve your challenges and more . The café is held on the second Monday , 2 – 3pm and fourth Wednesday , 8.30 – 9.30am of every month . You can drop in at any time during the cafes . Practice-based learning programme We are hosting a regular programme of practice-based learning opportunities for pre-registration learners ( students and apprentices ). The programme will enable learners undertaking non-traditional placements to meet with RCOT staff as part of an enhancement programme . The five-week programme takes place online and is repeated every two months : August , October and December in 2022 . Next dates : 1 August – 5 September 2022 – book by 24 July .
