OT-founded social enterprise receives over £ 1 million to help tackle inequalities in physical activity
Sport For Confidence CIC is among a group of over 120 organisations working in partnership with Sport England to level up access to sport and physical activity across the country .
Through its 10-year Uniting the Movement strategy , delivered via a carefully selected network of funded partners , Sport England intends to give everyone the opportunity to enhance their life experience through improved accessibility to meaningful sport and physical activity .
In total , more than £ 550 million is being invested , with the partners receiving funding for up to five years . This new funding model from Sport England provides longer-term financial security as organisations recover and reinvent following the pandemic .
Sport For Confidence itself will receive expertise , support and an investment of £ 1,335,090 of government and National Lottery funding from Sport England to co-deliver the ambitions of its strategy .

Complete WFOT ’ s digital assistive technology survey and help raise funds for grants programme
The World Federation of Occupational Therapists ( WFOT ) is partnering with Logitech to conduct a survey of occupational therapists regarding digital assistive technology .
It is inviting occupational therapists who have been involved with digital assistive technology provision to participate in this survey . The results of the survey will be used by WFOT and Logitech to understand :
• The role of occupational therapists in the provision of digital assistive technology .
• Methods of access to digital assistive technology .
For the purpose of this survey , ‘ digital assistive technology ’ is defined as digital technology products , systems and services used by people that experience challenges as result of factors such as disability , illness or ageing , to increase functioning and independence . Examples include adapted keyboards , communication devices , and instructional apps .
To encourage participation , Logitech will donate USD $ 5 for each occupational therapist that responds to the survey . The donation will be made to the WFOT Congress Grants Programme to support occupational therapists from low- or middle-income countries to attend the 2022 WFOT Congress in Paris , France .
