Mandy Whalley created the online tool with the hope that her innovation will provide extensive support to workers as they age .
Genevieve Smyth , RCOT professional adviser said : ‘ The Empowerment Passport is a great tool to help disabled people , older employees , or anyone with a health problem to talk about work with their employer or education provider , while allowing occupational therapists to share their expertise to help people stay in the workforce , which is key to the RCOT ’ s health equity campaign ’.
The selected candidates will now be invited to pitch their solutions to the competition ’ s expert judging panel , with the final awards ceremony scheduled in March 2022 .
