Occupational Therapy Week going digital in November didn ’ t stop you celebrating in style . Thank you to everyone who helped us inspire a new generation of students to # ChooseOT as a career by sharing your story on social media , delivering talks to students , and promoting the ChooseOT . co . uk careers website . The # ChooseOT social media wall really shows off your hard work in sharing pictures , videos , and even writing songs to promote the amazing career of occupational therapy .
RESOURCES
We have developed and updated resources to support members working in practice and in research . New development opportunities are available , including a blended learning programme for occupational therapists working in perinatal mental health , in partnership with Health Education England ( HEE ).
We now have five practice NICE-accredited guidelines , including Occupational therapy in the prevention and management of falls in adults and Hand and wrist orthoses for adults with rheumatological conditions .
We have also produced a wealth of COVID-19 related resources , including advice for maintaining health and wellbeing throughout the lockdown , blogs , and FAQs kept up to date with the latest advice and guidance .
PRIORITY SETTING PARTNERSHIP
The Priority Setting Partnership identified this year the Occupational Therapy Top Ten Research Priorities in the UK , to establish the most important unanswered questions that occupational therapy research needs to consider . This will be vital to focus our research going forward .
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY : IMPROVING LIVES , SAVING MONEY CAMPAIGN
Our Improving Lives , Saving Money campaign drew to a close with the publication of a report on work in the Spring , showing the real difference occupational therapy makes . The campaign raised the profile of the profession by focusing on the work as well as the health benefits of occupational therapy . Our new Rehabilitation campaign will build on this as the nation looks to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic .
