The Royal College of Occupational Therapists is looking for active and engaged members to contribute to their profession and make a difference . We have vacancies in our four RCOT Country Boards : England , Scotland , Wales and Northern Ireland
To contribute to an RCOT Board , you will need to be able to think strategically , be politically aware and committed to best practice . You will need to be confident to contribute actively to debate and to inform professional developments .

These vacancies are open to all RCOT members in the relevant countries . RCOT actively encourages LGBTQ +, Black , Asian and minority ethnic ( BAME ) and disabled applicants and values the positive impact and difference this will have on our boards and organisation as a whole .
Applications are welcome from all areas of practice , but those from members with the following knowledge would be particularly helpful :
RCOT Board : England – one vacancy within the areas of community rehabilitation ; social care ; work ; commissioning and primary care . Applications would especially welcome from members in the London , West Midlands and South West Regions .
RCOT Board : Scotland – three vacancies within the areas of : rehabilitation ( community , vocational and post-COVID ); primary care ; mental health / learning disabilities ; children ; acute services ; older people and social care / integration .
RCOT Board : Wales – two vacancies within the areas of : rehabilitation ; social care ; integration ; mental health and work .
RCOT Board : Northern Ireland – two vacancies within the areas of : rehabilitation ; primary care ; work ; social care ; children and young people and acute . Applications would be especially welcome from members in the Northern HSC Trust and the Western HSC Trust .
■ RCOT boards normally meet three times a year , usually in March , July and November .
■ Meetings are currently virtual . Going forward , there will be a mix of face-to-face and virtual meetings . All reasonable travel expenses for Board related activities will be reimbursed .
■ Boards provide a forum within which members can influence and inform the work of RCOT .
■ The term of office is three years , commencing after the AGM .
■ Board members must be working and / or resident within the geographical remit of the board .
Successful applicants will take up their role at the July meeting for their respective board .
