First Contact Mental Health Occupational Therapists in GP Surgeries
Salary : £ 35- £ 40k Closing date : n / a Location : Derby City / Derbyshire
To provide the first point of contact in GP practice s in Primary Care Networks ( PCNs ) for patients presenting with a wide range of mental and physical health issues . This role is dedicated to providing support to service users diagnosed with a mental health illness or dementia , as well as support and education to their carer / family members .
The post holder will work across the PCN , providing mental health assessment and care planning for patients with mental health needs and supporting them to work towards their recovery . The post holder will carry a defined caseload . Working effectively as part of a PCN multi-disciplinary team is essential . Supervision and CPD opportunities will be available regularly .
Successful candidates will be existing and experienced Mental Health Occupational Therapists looking to progress their careers by moving into this area of First Contact practice . They will hold a relevant Registered Professional Qualification and have experience working in an acute , community mental health or social care setting .
