There is still an opportunity for AHPs in Northern Ireland to be part of a national and local research champion initiative and receive support from the Council for Allied Health Professions Research ( CAHPR ) and the National Institute for Health and Care Research ( NIHR ).
If you are an AHP interested in research and innovation who wants to join like-minded AHP colleagues and contribute to the strategic network of CAHPR / NIHR Research Champions , then consider this opportunity .

Opportunity to join the Once for Scotland organisational development programme
Once for Scotland , a collaboration between Thistle Foundation and the Scottish Government , has been launched with the aim of making nonspecialist rehabilitation more accessible to people across Scotland .
The programme aims to ensure that at the heart of person-centred rehabilitation are good conversations focused on :
• Systems and processes that support rehabilitation and self-management ; services designed to prepare people to engage as equal partners .
• Practitioners who are supported to work collaboratively , using outcomes focused and strengths-based approaches .
• Greater capacity to connect people to ongoing rehabilitation and self-management supports within their community that supports health and wellbeing .
It also offers the opportunity to share national and local knowledge , peer support and funding to develop and test service redesign .
Thistle Foundation is a health and wellbeing charity whose head office is based in Edinburgh . It has previously worked with and supported a number of NHS , Local Authority , Health and Social Care Partnership and voluntary organisations , including the NHS Lothian and NHS Lanarkshire House of Care Programmes .
Thistle is now looking for early adopter services and teams within NHS Boards and Health and Social Care Partnerships , who want to explore ( alongside their third and leisure sector colleagues ) more innovative and connected ways of delivering rehabilitation , supported self-management and mental health recovery .
