RCOT releases Annual Conference tickets at our ' best ever price '
RCOT ’ s Annual Conference programme will be built around four themes – voted for by our members – ensuring Annual Conference is always led by what ’ s important to our community .
The first theme is ‘ Demonstrating the value and impact of OT ’, including : navigating underresourced processes and sharing how to drive innovation through occupation-centred practice in difficult times ; putting occupations at the forefront of our practice , so we are empowering people to do the occupations they value , manage their health and care needs ; and defining and capturing our unique OT contribution , by owning our superpower .
Under the theme ‘ The future of the OT workforce ’ we will be discussing transforming the profession to meet future population and service needs . There will also be a focus on artificial intelligence ( AI ) and occupational therapy , including how AI and digital care technology can support occupational therapy and how occupational therapy shapes AI development and our role in co-designing and testing products .
And we will look at effective workforce planning and how we use workforce data and intelligence to make informed decisions about occupational therapy positioning within the health and care system .
The third theme is ‘ OT ’ s role in addressing health inequity ’. This will be sharing how you and the profession : can be confident and skilled in championing inclusion and advocating for occupational justice ; work towards preventing ill health and minimising the need for crisis interventions and dependency on care ; help people to live well in their communities despite having health conditions ; ensure fair and equitable access to OT based on need ; and address the social

And finally , under the theme ‘ Growing your OT career , we will be exploring how to support all occupational therapy practitioners to be where they want to be at each stage of their career . We will be sharing how to build out the profession ’ s competence and capacity to support leadership , learning , research and innovation into practice and understanding how to see ourselves as leaders and make the most of our influence .
