We work with people to promote their wellbeing and independence – finding solutions to everyday challenges faced by disabled and older people . Our interventions include Equipment and Adaptations , Assistive Technology , Reablement , specialist advice or a package of care . You will be joining an OT led , enthusiastic and innovative multi-disciplinary team who are committed to professional development and promoting new ideas that make a difference to the people of Stockport .
The Front Door Team consists of Occupational Therapists , Social Care Officers , Referral and Information Officers and Social Workers . Together the team are the first point of contact for residents and professionals who need advice and support from a range of services , agencies or community offers .

Somek and Associates are recruiting Expert Witnesses with general functional assessment skills , to provide the court with reports detailing claimant needs in respect of care , equipment , therapies , and accommodation needs . Previous medico-legal experience is not essential .
We are looking for OTs who specialise in : orthopaedics and trauma ; general surgery ( e . g . hernia repair , ileostomy management ); general / respiratory medicine ; amputee rehabilitation ( prosthetic and non-prosthetic users ); elderly rehabilitation . Other specialisms will also be considered .
Requirements :
• Self-motivated OTs with 8 years ’ post qualification experience
• Registered with HCPC
• Practicing clinically in a senior role , either within the NHS or private sector

Competence in moving and handling is essential , along with the ability to supervise and upskill less experienced staff via supervision and joint visits .
