So, I decided to do things for myself, and allow me to be what I am. I wanted to do things without any doubt in my mind; no more“ ifs and buts” in my life. I know it is hard to take such a stand, but I envisioned my life this way and know there is a“ sunny day.” I remember the poem from my school days, penned by Robert Frost:
“ The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.”
The morning came and I packed my luggage and left OU.
I come to OU now and then, not because I am free, but to re-create, rebuild and to meet MYSELF in every inch of OU, and preserve the lessons in my heart. OU is not a part of my life like other institutions I studied; it is my LIFE where I met my true SELF. Now, I am proud like my Dad( who is an alumnus of Arts College) that I belong to the alumni of OU.
Remember guys,“ OU may or may not give you great opportunities, but it definitely teaches you how to be great.”
Phone rings. It’ s Akshay, my classmate who is leaving for Saudi Arabia today, for an on-site assignment. The call was to check how things were going on in each other’ s life. After the call, I marked the date on the calendar: 25th December 2016. I counted the seconds for that day to come. So that I can again become a human from this machine life and to once again live LIFE.
( Note: I wrote this article for people who always become what they want to be rather than being what they got to be.)
