Stonehill College
Stonehill College is a private Catholic
liberal arts college founded by the
Congregation of Holy Cross and is
located in Easton, Massachusetts. The
college has 47 majors and 51 minors in
the humanities, arts, natural and social
sciences, business, education, and
pre-professional advising programs.
It boasts 169 full-time faculty, 12:1
student/faculty ratio, and an average
class size of 19. Ninety percent of its
2,482 students live on campus.
Tammy Anderson, Chief Information Officer,
Department of Information Technology at
Stonehill College, has been an OSHEAN member
since the organization’s founding 20 years ago.
Her first experience with OSHEAN was as the
Director of Information Technology at CCRI in
1999, when the network was first introduced.
In 2008, when she joined Stonehill, the college
was in conversations with OSHEAN and she
enthusiastically supported the college’s initiative
to become a member.

An Original OSHEAN Member
Anderson notes that being an OSHEAN member
takes the burden of worrying about bandwidth
off the IT team at Stonehill College. Since
connecting to OSHEAN, the college has had
enough bandwidth to support the needs of
students, faculty, staff and visitors. With
almost all students living on campus, bandwidth
requirements increase annually and it’s important
to ensure students feel at home in their dorms
