COMMITMENT TO DISCOVERY
Hip / Knee Arthroplasty Research
The Joint Section places particular emphasis on translational research endeavors by studying clinically relevant pathologies prevalent in the community that UAB serves through extensive clinical research . We then translate our clinical findings to the lab to further understand these pathologies on the molecular level and with hopes of discovering novel treatments and preventive techniques . Our research infrastructure supports clinical research assistants , a PhD candidate , and an on-campus orthopaedic lab .
