CLINICAL EXCELLENCE : PEDIATRIC ORTHOPAEDICS
The UAB Pediatric Orthopaedic service treats the entire spectrum of pediatric orthopaedic disease , including trauma , congenital conditions , and developmental deformities of the hips , limbs , spine , and hand . We managed 5,412 patient visits in FY2022 , encompassing more than 1,050 surgical cases .
Our team works closely with other specialists in the care of complex neuromuscular and other rare syndromes and diseases . All physicians are fellowship-trained and members of specialty clinical and research societies . Care is provided in the dedicated , state-of-the-art , family-centered Children ’ s of Alabama hospital , which is among the largest in the nation . The division has been listed among the best of its kind in the nation by U . S . News & World Report for the past three years .
