Claesson Koivisto Rune
The multidisciplinary architecture and design trio Claesson Koivisto Rune has spent a great deal of time in Japan . Based on the relationship between designer and producer , Orrefors and Claesson Koivisto Rune asked the question : Why instruct a glassblower to make each item identical ? The Ebon vase shows that glass is a soft , glowing mass whose mobility slowly lessens as the temperature falls . Each vase is allowed to set into its own shape with the finishing touch applied by the glassblower . The result is a beautiful marriage between a strict framework and true individual execution . The collection was launched in 2020 .
