The Helena champagne glass demonstrates how technique and design are closely connected in the world of Orrefors. The glassblower twists the glass in the mold to create a diagonal line pattern on the surface. The height of the glass and the small base, bring an elegance perfectly matching that of the beverage that Helena was designed for. The collection has been part of Orrefors’ assortment since 1977. Ice Cube by Orrefors demonstrates how a true master of the craft maximizes the fascinating yet simple nature of crystal glass. Göran Wärff has shown the unique refractive qualities of the crystal by shaping the glass into a massive cube. Sunlight and a gentle tea light won’ t be perceived the same, but are both equally beautiful with this votive. The collection launched in 2001.
