Guest Author Ali Sparkes
Last week the academy welcomed author Ali Sparkes back to hold a special talk for our Year 7 students.
The talk included how Ali got into writing and what advice and tips she would recommend to any budding authors at Shelfield.
There was a question and answer session followed by a book signing in the library
at lunchtime.

Year 8 The Children's Society Workshop
Recently all Year 8 students took part in a workshop organised by The Children's Society.
The purpose of the workshop was to raise student awareness of the potential dangers of using social networking sites, as well as tips and advice for online safey.
The team from The Children's Society were really impressed with the brilliant reception and engagement of our Year 8 students.
