Well done to the Year 7 boys rugby team who on entering their first Walsall Schools Rugby event managed to reach the semi-finals. The team gained victories against Aldridge and Brownhills scoring 8 tries and only conceding 2.
The performances secured Shelfield a semi final place against Shire Oak. A narrow 1 try defeat in the last play of the game meant Shire Oak continued into the Final. A fantastic evening of rugby with some great attacking team play, individual brilliance and tough tackling defence. Well done to all who played.
Any student interested in participating in rugby at Shelfield Academy are welcome to attend training every Monday after school.
