There are currently more that 82.4 million people around the world , of whom 80 % are women and children . When families run away from their homes due to war or persecution , we provide critical life-saving assistance in the form of shelter , food , healthcare , sanitation , etc . We also remain on the ground with them for as long as they need our protection and support , and provide livelihood training , education and empowerment .
