CREATIVE TEAM new works has led to directing staged readings at the Kennedy Center’s New Visions/New Voices Festival and NYU’s New Plays for Young Audiences. He had the privilege of working with two Newbery Award-winning authors—Lois Lowry and Louis Sachar—to adapt their novels for OCT’s stages. In addition, Stan’s direction and guidance was instrumental in bringing Eric Coble’s adaptation of Lois Lowry’s The Giver to audiences in Portland and around the country. Stan loves teaching and mentoring young people in our community. He is grateful to work with a brilliant staff, an amazing board, and the incredible theater artists in Portland, Oregon. STEPHAN PASTIS (Author) Stephan is the creator of Pearls Before Swine, an acclaimed comic strip that appears in more than six hundred newspapers and boasts a devoted following. Stephan spent many childhood hours by himself, drawing in his room. When he wasn’t drawing, Stephan spent time collecting baseball cards, his other childhood love. The third book in the series, Timmy Failure: We Meet Again, was released in October 2014 and a fourth book is in the works! www.timmyfailure.com FINEGAN KRUCKEMEYER (Playwright) Finegan has had 73 commissioned plays performed on five continents, and was an inaugural recipient of the Sidney Myer Creative Fellowship. In 2014, 18 works were presented in seven countries. His plays have been in: over 70 international festivals; six US national tours; six UK national tours; and at the Sydney Opera House (six works), New York’s New Victory Theater (three), Dublin’s Abbey Theatre and Shanghai’s Malan Flower Theatre. Finegan’s works have received at least one award each year since 2004.
