Attractive small Patriotic cover with scarce horizontal strip of
3 paying rate. Stamps tied by Sep 30 Greenville, RI, cancel.
Cert notes ‘right stamp with tiny surface scrape at bottom right
and all stamps with a light horizontal crease.’ Also small toning
spot at left, usual opening tear on reverse. Scott values used
strip of 3 ($2,100), and single Patriotic stamp usage is ($1,400).

franked with very fine single tied with Lowell cds, Canada cds
and ‘U.STATES’ straightline handstamp. The cover was
missent, manuscript ‘Fowd’ on address side and manuscript
‘Missent’ on back, with eight cds on back! Very fine and choice.
