Course Description:
GCSE Mathematics develops problem-solving, logical reasoning and numerical skills essential for everyday life and further study. Students will study key areas: number, algebra, ratio and proportion, geometry, probability and statistics.
Assessment consists of three exams:
Paper 1: Non-calculator 33.3 % 1h 30m
Paper 2: Calculator 33.3 % 1h 30m
Paper 3: Calculator 33.3 % 1h 30m
The course is available at Foundation( grades 1-5) and Higher( grades 4-9) tiers to suit different abilities.
High achieving students have the opportunity to study Level 2 Certificate in Further Mathematics.
