are back!”
The Mizyake eyewear fall collection,
distributed by Optika, features 10 new
metal styles. They include MZ6023,
a new take on the classic aviator shape.
“What is unique is we use a stainless
steel structure for maximum durabil-
ity and comfort, while framing the
front of the frame in a lightweight
acetate, to give it a new look,” says
Optika’s Richard Allan.
Model MZ6021, meanwhile, also fea-
tures stainless steel construction,
while at the same time using an “alu-
minium finish “on the top to give an
exciting colour blend.
Metal frames can also be seen in some
of the hottest looks by Alternative/
Plan “B” Eyewear, like Glacee styles
GL6891 and GL6886.

“Patterns, blues and light pinks are
going to be present in a lot of eyewear
designs,” says Cassandra Slepian,
marketing and sales support at
Alternative/Plan “B”.
A throwback to a retro look and feel
is also key for the fall.
“Round styles are going to stay popu-
lar with a resurgence of the aviator
shape – which is not limited to sun-
glasses but can be found in ophthal-
mic options as well,” says Slepian.
“You will also see some modified
cateyes – taking the flattering part
of cateyes without the over-the-top
retro look.”
