Vision & Voice WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT FOR FALL 2015? VARIETY. It is refreshing to see so many options all doing well. We are in a place where metal, plastic, oversized, retro, colour and classic are all doing well. It really is a time where consumers can enhance their personal style with eyewear and still be on trend. Currently, variety truly is the spice of life in eyewear. Robert Eggett, National Sales Manager, Safilo We are most excited about the re-launch of SPINE. We sold six weeks of inventory in 6 weeks during the launch in 2015. We have been slowly filling backorders and will be in a supply position by this September and will launch 9 new styles in January and another 9 styles in May. TREND: TECHNOLOGY We will see old materials processed new ways and new materials changing the design and functionality options in eyewear. Look for our Aspire and TLG (Thin Light Glasses) collections in 2016 from our Centennial Sales Team. Allan Nightengale, Vice President, Centennial Optical We are most excited that all of our new 2016 sun collections have been received so well at our global market "previews" this past July and August. Getting constructive feedback and information from our key accounts and customers around the world is critical - allowing us to properly plan inventory flow and editorial coverage as we begin the sun season with such a strong position. Mark Ginsberg, Senior Vice President, Global Marketing, Marchon Eyewear Follow us 8 Optical Prism | September 2015 I'm most excited about the new ways I've seen people embracing their eyeglasses as an expression of individuality. With an increased number of products being designed to meet the lifestyle needs and personal preferences of patients, consumers now have the opportunity to think more about lens choices and the options they have to enhance both their vision and style. Isabelle Tremblay-Dawson, Senior Marketing Manager, Transitions Optical, Canada We are very excited to announce that in the fall of 2015 we will be manufacturing Rodenstock products in our Toronto facility. We have also successfully installed a state-of-theart hard coating lab utilizing top equipment from Switzerland and have implemented the Rodenstock coating process. This will result in substantially faster turnaround times while still maintaining the high Rodenstock standards. After an extensive audit and review period Rodenstock has approved our process. Paul Faibish, President, Plastic Plus We are about to have a strong launch of new frames that we are very excited about. The fall season is a time of year in which we have released some of our most successful, best-selling frames. The Seraphin Covington is a beautiful new frame for fall that I'm excited about. It is made of deep, rich and luminous acetate in a shape that flatters many faces. David Spencer, Ogi Eyewear Designer & Founder I am very excited about the newly launched German stainless steel collection; these series have allowed me to express myself creatively and explore ideas that I was having difficulty bring into production due to technical limitations. I was finally able to bring into the forefront frames that have vast distinctions from any other collections. Mehran Baghaie, Owner, Spectacle Eyeworks
