Harmony , according to Merriam-Webster , means an internal calm and has synonyms like tranquility , balance and unity .
The Cambridge dictionary goes a bit further , describing harmony as a situation in which people are peaceful and agree with each other or when things seem right or suitable together .
And following a tumultuous 2020 and difficult start to 2021 , harmony , peace , unity and balance are all things that nearly everyone is craving right now .
For 2021 , Benjamin Moore , the North American paint , colour and coatings brand , chose Aegean Teal as its colour of the year , describing the hue as an “ intriguing blue-green that creates natural harmony and invites us to reflect and reset .”
Shades of blue-green , like Benjamin Moore ’ s Aegean Teal , can be found on many frames this season , as consumers look for eyewear that evokes feelings of calm , warmth and , of course , harmony .
