The spring/summer 2019 Rebecca Minkoff
eyewear collection, produced and distributed
by Safilo Group, features 18 new sunglass styles.
Designed in Safilo’s global design studio on
Fifth Avenue in New York City in partnership
with the Rebecca Minkoff Design Team, the
collection takes its cues from the brand’s
design ethos – wherein women everywhere are
encouraged to confidently own the multiplicity
of the many roles they occupy, their own
moods and feelings.
The new shades include Brooke 1/S, a 1950s-
inspired cat-eye sunglass with star-shaped
stud accents in unique custom acetate coloura-
tions, and Patti 1/S, which are round-shape
sunglasses with injected fronts highlighted by
a faux leather inlay, keyhole bridge and
acetate temples.
Gloria 4/S, meanwhile, are round metal sun-
glasses with acetate rims, custom temples and
colour-coordinating temple tips, while Jane/S
are statement, aviator-inspired, flat top sun-
glasses with an emphasized top line along the
brow in a custom acetate with high and low
relief on the front and temples.
