What is the Etnia philosophy when it comes to designing new eyewear/putting a collection together? My brand focuses on the idea of being free, being human, being multi-ethnic and cultured. It boasts bold designs for all types of people, never before seen colourwise that emphasize the personality within individual faces, and has had cost adjustments that give the company a competitive edge. My family has a tradition of high quality manufacturing standards, and this remains fundamental, and is evident in all the glasses that come out of the Etnia Barcelona factory. Q2. What was the inspiration for the vintage collection? For this collection, we’ve reversioned shapes in the vintage trend and style to give them a commercial look that’s very much in tune with what the market wants. The “vintage” collection was inspired by cultural movements, intellectuals, everything that ventures off the beaten track, and independent culture. That’s why we chose the hotspots of this variety of culture to name the models in this collection. It’s a tribute to these neighbourhoods that gave birth to important social movements. Q3.
