VEW to celebrate 30th anniversary
More than 430 exhibitors are expected to take part in the upcoming Vision Expo West , which this year will mark its 30th anniversary .
About 60 of the exhibitors have been at the trades-only conference and show for eyecare and eyewear since its inception in 1988 .
“ This year ’ s show will celebrate these founding exhibitors , whose long-standing dedication has helped fund important consumer initiatives like Think About Your Eyes , an awareness campaign designed to educate the public on the benefits of vision health , and Eyecessorize , an initiative that promotes eyewear as must-have health necessities and fashion accessories .”
VEW , which brings together the latest in designer eyewear fashions , medical innovations , networking experiences and an unparalleled education program , is set to take place Sept . 26 to 29 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas , Nevada .
About 30,000 eyecare professionals attend VEW and Vision Expo East in New York City each year . The two worldwide events are co-owned by Reed Exhibitions and The Vision Council .
