What New Year ’ s resolutions should ECP patients be making for their eye health ?

“ FOR 2021 , we should try to be more compliant and consistent with all of our dry eye therapies , especially our warm compresses and Omega-3 supplements . With the cold , dry winter air and all the mask-associated dry eye , my eyes are feeling drier than ever ! I like to give myself a before / after bedtime regimen so I can follow it religiously and it becomes part of my daily routine ; just like brushing my teeth .”

Zoom and other video conference apps have become household staples for both work and school . We must remember to take a screen time break for our eyes . Some ways to take that break are remembering the 20 / 20 / 20 rule : Every 20 minutes , focus 20 feet away for 20 seconds , taking a 15 minute break from the screen and of course getting outside .”
