inspirational and business-focused courses were
offered through The Leadership Forum, developed by
co-founder of Influenceology Roberto Monaco. Further,

cases in ocular imaging.
Also at this year’s conference, FUBU founders
Daymond John, Keith Perrin, J. Alexander Martin
and Carl Brown launched their new FUBU Legends
Eyewear line and took part in a panel discussion, meet-
and-greet and fashion show.
The panel discussion, FUBU: The Past, Present and
Future of US, highlighted their new eyewear launch
and the rise and success of their brand.
“The success FUBU has reached over the years is
inspiring to everyone in the fashion industry,” said
Mitch Barkley, vice-president of trade shows and
meetings at The Vision Council.
FUBU is considered one of the most successful
sportswear companies of all time with the creators’
marketing innovations regarded as staples to the
industry. The earliest FUBU collection consisted
of a small line of tops and hats before it expanded
into 5,000 stores producing over $6 billion in
retail sales.
Vision Expo East, the trade-only conference and
exhibition for eyecare and eyewear, took place from
March 21 to 24. It is presented by co-owners Reed
