The Low caste – Dalit continue to be slaughtered by the upper caste Hindus and a allegedly vigilant judiciary have continually obfuscated interpretations of civil rights act , thwarting every attempt in getting justice to the affected . The police are horrible bunch of jokers at best . This article is not going to sling mud on incumbents instead would chronicle their failures , leaving the mudslinging to some other time . The polity in India has been going through a transition , That ’ s what the experts have us believed . The reality is , the younger generation or gen next we are called are expected to come forward . The politicians are going full gear forward in promoting their wards and relatives as gen – next leaders , The hilarity is in fact that these children of elites who studied in foreign lands would want to come back and start leading a country in which they have neither spent a lifetime nor are they willing to go through the experiential learning curve the politicians of soil have to go through in order to establish themselves as leaders of citizens of Indian Union .
Notwithstanding cynics and scepticisms and even accusations of minorities ’ appeasement the Indian national Movement leaders led a conglomeration of castes and religions through the confabulating and arduous journey of Anti-Colonialism . They sustained injuries and lost everything the luxury of the 19 th century scientific modern life had to offer to them . They sacrificed their wellbeing and security , had themselves humiliated by bureaucracy of the Imperial Indian colony . In the struggle we lost parts of our country to secessionists and nations were born , nevertheless , we did manage to establish a Union . We are rightly proud of this moment in our modern history . This is just one moment . Days have passed wondering whether it is wise to continue to hold onto this moment and strive for secular democratic polity where freedom , equality , fraternity , unity and diversity of the union be ever preserved for long ?
