The Mentone Pink Caps Adventure Swim

Adventure

Not all swims need to be a race and the latest Adventure Swim from the Mentone Pink Caps continues the tradition for open water swimmers to participate in a non-competitive and relaxed open water swim. Swimmers will be able to take time to smell the sea grass experience the local environment and swim with local minded people.

There are two swims as part of the Adventure Swim with a 4.5km and 2km swim to cater for different levels of ability. The 4.5km swim travels over a natural marine reserve reef, starting at Ricketts Point along the spectacular cliff face of Beaumaris Bay, then back to Mentone Lifesaving Club. The shorter 2km swim starts at the Scout Boat Shed and continues along the cliff face to Mentone Lifesaving Club.

As part of the swim all groups will have a water support leader to keep the group together and they will be accompanied by a trained water safety volunteer. With all groups bused to their starting points. Upon registration for the swim, you will be asked if you are a slow, medium or fast swimmer so you can be grouped together with swimmers of similar ability.
