The final event of the AUCKLAND CENTRAL MASTERS SWIMMING INC. HARBOUR SWIM SERIES is set to be a cracker with the final race being a 10km Marathon Swim in beautiful Auckland Harbour.

Auckland Central Masters Swimming(ACMS) is a not for profit organisation with their main objectives to encourage participation in open water swimming, promoting swimming as an integral part of a healthy lifestyle and foster swimmer education and water safety. As part of this the ACMS hold a series of open water swimming events which culminate in the Zoggs Ocean Walker Marathon Swim, this year being held on the ANZAC Day weekend on the 24th of April 2016.

The 10km Marathon Swim is the largest of its kind in New Zealand, offering a single lap swim taking advantage of tides and currents to ensure a fast and welcoming course for all competitors, especially first time competitors eager to take their next big step with open water swimming. Unfortunately the 2015 event was cancelled due to unexpected weather conditions making the swim too dangerous, but this years event has a great back up course available in the event that something similar occurs.
