Can you give our readers a sneak preview of what you ’ re currently working on ? When I opened Uncle ’ s Snack Shop , it was the first time in my life where I got to live a “ normal life ”. A structured schedule with opening and closing hours , seeing the same people day in , day out . It was so different from anything I had ever done in my life . I found that the days where it was only work were rare . There was so much interpersonal drama , the personalities , the egos , the shady contractors ; it was all so much that it felt like I was living in a movie or a TV show the entire time . And so , Patrick and I started developing a show about it , and if it all goes well , you ’ ll get to see it on some platform soon . |

What is the first word that comes to mind that starts with an M , and what does it mean to you ? Magic . To me it ’ s what I ’ m always chasing . A chance to make magic happen ; something I can ’ t really explain or understand exactly how it happens , but it does , and it can when everything falls in its place . To me that ’ s what film is : putting yourself in a position where you can capture some magic and share it with an audience . |

Lastly , what can you tell us about your sleeping habits ? I sleep face down and then I plop a pillow over my head . Bedhead for me usually resembles some form of a rooster ’ s mane , and my lack of awareness of that is one of the reasons that I want to do more behindthe-camera work . I just can ’ t be bothered to care about how I present myself . ( laughs ) |
