You ’ ve been known to have a unique artistic style sense . Who are a few of your musical inspirations ?
My inspirations are anybody that ’ s doing something innovative . Lauryn Hill at the time was a big innovator in terms of a female , rapping , singing , playing guitar … she could do anything . Kanye West was a big inspiration for me growing up in terms of the production he would tap into . Lyrically , I feel like Drake ’ s quite innovative in the way that he ’ s able to tell a story that keeps you engaged from the beginning of a song to the end . I think artists that have a sound , energy or consistency , like Masego for example , are the artists that really inspire me . There ’ s been an awesome introduction of women in rap as well . There ’ s a lot of space being made for us and the more women I deal with , the more space there is and I love that .
You have a rapidly growing catalogue . What is your favourite song to perform in front of a live audience ?

I really like performing “ Blame .” “ Wishy Washy ” is a favourite for the crowd . I ’ m very excited to play “ Tesla .” It ’ s just so bouncy , I know it ’ s going to have me on my feet . Those quicker-paced songs allow me to show the audience more of my rapid flow , and breath control . Anything that ’ s allowing me to showcase impressive skills lyrically , is going to be a favourite for me .
