done , the mass majority of people don ’ t know . People continuing to reference the Polaris is a pressure in itself . It ’ s just about maintaining what I ’ ve done , growing , and trying to showcase to myself , my fans , and listeners that the momentum doesn ’ t stop .
I ’ d love to do A COLORS Show , or a Tiny Desk and just occupy performance spaces that are only reserved for mainstream or high-quality content artists . I look forward to being able to do more things that smaller artists don ’ t get the opportunity to do . Things that will allow bigger , wider audiences to be exposed to me .
Your mixtape , Stock Exchange , features several international artists and a few homegrown favourites , including Toronto ’ s very own , TOBi . What was it like collaborating with so many different creatives ?
It was really cool to collaborate so actively in a time where I couldn ’ t get in the studio with these people . It was frustrating , but it was interesting to challenge myself to be able to maximize and execute these songs through Zoom sessions , remote sessions , and text conversations . For Good On My Own Tonight I initially thought I was making the song for TOBi and it was going to feature me . So , I produced differently for that song . It speaks to how collaborative processing can allow you to access ideas you would never find on your own .
