The 4th annual Porsche Centre Langley Track Experience kicked off a weekend full of driving at the Area 27 Motorsports Park in the south Okanagan . The event featured gourmet dining , track instructions , and the perfect experience for Porsche enthusiasts looking to explore the true capabilities of their vehicles .
Temperatures reached 40-plus degrees
Celsius as guests arrived at Spirit Ridge Resort in Osoyoos , BC . After freshening up , participants regrouped on the restaurant patio for a gourmet four-course welcome dinner with wine pairings .
In an attempt to beat the heat , the group started their day on the track bright and early . Guests began the day with breakfast
and a classroom instruction session . Driving was then split up into autocross and on-track instructions . More experienced drivers were given the space for open lapping , while the instructors focused their efforts on getting the novice group ready to experience the track on their own .
After a quick break for lunch , drivers headed out for a parade lap with all 24 participating Porsche vehicles , followed by longer sessions of open lapping with both groups . As guests lapped the track in their own vehicles , they also had the unique opportunity to experience the track as a passenger in Porsche Centre Langley ’ s 911 GT3 Cup Car .
