Volume 16 Issue 1 » 17 In your personal and family time, what do you like to do? What is it about McLaren that made you become a client? Travel – my wife and I love to travel and want to be able to take our kids all over the world. I think experiences are way more impactful than just sitting in classrooms or reading books. Don’t get me wrong, those are important too, but I believe that actually seeing and experiencing new places is the best way to learn. The first thing is that it’s one of the few cars I could fit in comfortably to go to car rallies. Once I saw what it could do performance- wise, it was a no-brainer, I needed to get one. The service you get from the folks at McLaren Seattle is A1 and it played a big role in me wanting to buy one as well. What does style mean to you? I’ve always loved to dress nice. When I got my first NFL paycheque, I immediately went shopping. I bought some Jordan’s and a FUBU outfit taking it way back - it’s still one of my fliest outfits. I just think that if you look good, you feel good. How would you describe your style? My style changes every few years. About ten years ago I was in baggy jeans and tall tees with a jersey. Now my clothes fit a little better. It’s nothing for me to throw on some nice designer slacks and a button-up for lunch with my wife. Five years ago, it would’ve been completely different. I love to wear designer stuff if I can find my size. What role do accessories play in your wardrobe? I’m a big watch guy. I think your watch plays a big role in your accessories and overall look. Depending on the look you’re going for, you can throw on a nice chain or necklace to complement the watch. I prefer the subtle look, so you’ll rarely see me with a watch and a bunch of diamonds on. Tell us more about your limited edition McLaren 720S N-Largo? I’ve had or driven a lot of different cars and the 720S is a monster. When I upgraded to the N-Largo, it took it to a whole different level. The N-Largo is 1 of 15 in the world and mine was the first built in North America. The car is a completely different look than the stock model. The only thing that stayed stock are the doors. It’s an extremely fun car to drive. I went with satin black with gloss black accents, because all my cars have that colour combination. It just looks so mean with that combo and I think it looks like the Batmobile. What goes into your decision when selecting a car for your career and lifestyle? Comfort is first and foremost. I don’t fit into most exotic cars comfortably. If I can’t fit into the car, I can’t be in it for a long period of time, so comfort is key. That’s STYLE BY SARAI why the 720S made so much sense for me. The next most important factor for me is performance. I want all of my sports cars to have power. Tell us about being a member of Drivers Club in Redmond, Washington. Drivers Club is unique. Being a part of the DC is more than just having a garage to park your cars. It’s about the experience. I like being a part of Drivers Club because I get to meet so many different people who are car enthusiasts as well. Also, it’s just a great environment to host parties and meetings. They have multiple rallies throughout the year for their members where you can meet like-minded people who love to drive and love cars. What cars are you currently driving? At the moment, I have the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon 4x4 Squared, the Lamborghini Urus, and the Bentley Continental. What is your favourite car from your current collection? The 720S N-Largo by far. Besides being one of the rarest cars in the world, the performance is unreal. It’s so different from the other cars I’ve driven or had in the past. is a luxury lifestyle consulting company that empowers individuals to feel strong and confident in their personal How did clothing play a part in the past with your NFL career and now in your current career? style. The brand achieves this through providing the tools and Thank God we didn’t have to wear suits while I played for the Seahawks. We could literally wear whatever we wanted as long as it wasn’t wrinkled. That was time for me to break out the dope exclusive kicks or a new exclusive hoodie. We all wanted to make sure we looked fresh boarding the plane or getting off the bus to go into the stadium.
