The Q5 is one of Audi ’ s most popular and successful products , with more than 1.6 million examples of the first-generation design sold globally .
The crossover craze has only accelerated since the original Q5 was first launched in 2008 . Not wanting to rest on its laurels , Audi has completely redesigned the Q5 from the ground up for the 2018 model year . Practically every part has been improved , and nearly 200 pounds have been shaved .
The fresh new exterior design is more carlike than before and styled with the latest Audi corporate face . The squinty LED headlamps , prominent six-sided grille , and sharply creased character lines will be very familiar to Audi fans . adjustable air suspension system . Just one engine choice is available on the Q5 , a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder unit producing 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque . Step up to the hot rod SQ5 and the horsepower and torque figures swell substantially to 354 hp and 369 lb-ft respectively , thanks to the 3.0L turbocharged V6 .
The Q5 / SQ5 ’ s interior has also been substantially modernized , with a design similar to the latest A4 sedan .
