PIG ON THE STREET
It’s Vancouver’s first and only bacon food truck. The “bacon
bandwagon” is overwhelming these days, but Pig on the Street is
doing it right. They tested a bunch of bacon from various suppliers
before choosing local Gelderman Farms bacon for their flatbread
sandwiches. The Porker features double-smoked bacon, sage and
apple-sausage stuffing, home-made chutney, goat Gouda, housemade caramelized onion mayo, and greens all wrapped up in their
handmade flatbread. If you think that sounds good, visit them
on Saturday morning for their special “Breakfast Porker” (limited
quantities). It is The Porker, but with avocado, eggs, and house-made
hot sauce. It’s one of my favourite food truck items, period.
