NEW LOOK PARTNERS WITH BLACK OPTICAL
New Look ( Delaware ) Corporation has announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Black Optical .
Founded in 2007 by Gary Black , the business is a leading player in the luxury optical segment of the eyewear market in the United States . Black Optical operates three luxury optical stores in Dallas , Tulsa and Oklahoma City . Gary Black will remain a shareholder in the company and will lead efforts to expand Black Optical ' s footprint and presence in the industry .
SAFILO , CHIARA FERRAGNI SIGN LICENCING AGREEMENT
Safilo and Chiara Ferragni , entrepreneur and global fashion icon , have announced their new multi-year global licencing agreement for the design , manufacture and distribution of the first Chiara Ferragni-branded eyewear collection .
The full eyewear range – both optical and sun – will be unveiled for the spring / summer 2022 season , hitting the market in January 2022 .

JONES ELECTED ROYAL SOCIETY OF CANADA FELLOW
Lyndon Jones , director of the Centre for Ocular Research & Education and professor at the School of Optometry and Vision Science at the University of Waterloo , has been named a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada Class of 2021 .
Founded in 1882 , the RSC comprises the Academies of Arts , Humanities and Sciences , and The College of New Scholars , Artists and Scientists . The organization recognizes excellence , advises the government and other entities , and promotes a culture of knowledge and innovation in Canada and with other national academies around the world .
Dr . Jones is among 89 new fellows across Canada elected by their peers for outstanding scholarly , scientific , and artistic achievements . He is one of three University of Waterloo researchers to be awarded this elite distinction . OP
