COVID-19 pandemic . It turns out , the widespread use of face masks has resulted in a significant rise in reports of dry , uncomfortable eyes , according to the Centre for Ocular Research & Education at the University of Waterloo . We speak with CORE clinical scientist Karen Walsh about how ECPs can help to address this issue with their patients .
Our pictorial in this issue takes a look at the growing popularity of “ nude ” eyewear . The great thing about these au naturel styles is that they go with pretty much every skin tone and outfit since they are stripped of loud , splashy colours , patterns or designs .

Along with our look at men ’ s and women ’ s frame trends , this issue includes a feature on Indigenous Canadian artist Phil Gray and the new AYA Optical frames that will bear his striking eagle designs . We were lucky enough to have a chance to chat with this talented , inspiring artist about his artwork and this unique collaboration with AYA Optical .
