Pavel is the
Senior EER
(Energy &
Engineered Risk)
Underwriter for
Middle East,
North Africa and Russia. The EER
unit deals with Downstream Oil
and Petrochemical, Chemical,
Construction and Power
Generation occupancies.
Pavel joined AIG in Moscow,
Russia in 2009 and since then has
been performing various roles in
Property and Energy lines. Prior
to relocation to Dubai in 2015 he
was Energy and Engineered Risks
Manager for AIG Russia in charge
of developing profitable portfolio of
Energy and Construction business.
In addition to MENA EER
responsibilities Pavel is the
Construction Center of Excellence
Manager for Eastern Europe.
In this role he is focusing on
enhancement and implementation
of regional strategy for
Construction business across
Eastern Europe including Russia.
Pavel holds Bachelor’s degree
in Economics from Financial
University under the Government
of the Russian Federation in
Moscow, Russia. He started
his insurance career in 2003
as Reinsurance Manager
for one of the local Russian
commercial insurers. Mark joined
Lloyd’s in 2015 as
General
Representative
Middle East based
in the Dubai
International Financial
Centre (DIFC).
In this role, Mark is responsible
for developing and implementing
Lloyd’s business and market
development strategy across
the MENA markets as well
as managing the operations
of the Dubai platform.
Mark joined Lloyd’s from the
DIFC Authority where he
was Director of Insurance,
Reinsurance and Captives.
Mark holds 20 years’ experience
in the international insurance
industry, starting his career
in 1995 with RSA Insurance
Group in the UK. He has lived
and worked in the Middle East
for 12 years building extensive
experience of the GCC and wider
Levant insurance markets in
executive roles including Head
of Commercial Markets for the
Middle East & Levant at Zurich
Insurance and Chief Executive
Officer for Saudi Arabia and
Bahrain at RSA Insurance Group.
Mark holds an MBA from the
University of Leicester and a
BA (Hons.) in History from the
University of Manchester. He is
also a member of the Chartered
Insurance Institute of the United
Kingdom, holding both the
ACII and FPC qualifications.
Clive Burrows is a
Senior Manager in
the Dubai office of
RGL Forensics, a
global forensic
accounting and
consulting firm.
Clive has over 10 years of
experience in forensic accounting
and financial investigations,
and focuses his practice in
quantifying losses for the
insurance and legal markets,
such as business interruption,
subrogated recoveries and
commercial disputes.
He specialises in complex losses
relating to Petrochemicals, Energy
/ Power generation, Metals and
Construction. He has handled
cases across the Middle East,
Africa, Europe and Asia Pacific,
and led a catastrophe response
team in the Japanese insurance
market following the Thai Floods
and Tohoku Earthquake.
In December 2014, Clive relocated
from our London office to set up
and run the RGL Forensics Dubai
office, which services the Middle
East and North Africa regions.
