High end shopping is a serious business
in Dubai, and this is exemplified by the
Dubai Mall (thedubaimall.com), the most
visited shopping centre in the world. Its
1200 outlets house all the usual brands, as
well as a stunning aquarium, an amusement
park and ice rink, and lots of restaurants.
For something with more of a taste
of old Arabia, head across the Dubai
Creek to the souks of Deira. Here cheekby-jowl market stalls sell everything
from spices, through gold, to fish.
